The 1% college savings are awarded on net retail purchases (qualifying purchases less credits, returns and adjustments) made everywhere the Upromise credit card is accepted. Net purchases may be made by the cardholder(s) and/or authorized user(s) of the card, if any. Fractions of 1% college savings are truncated at the100th decimal place. For example, use your card for retail purchases of $519.59 during a cycle and receive $5.19 in Upromise college savings, rather than $5.1959. Balance transfers, cash advances, including purchases of cash equivalents of any kind, out-of-network payments made through Bill Pay Choice service, purchases made by or for a business or for a business purpose, fees, finance charges, credit protection, credit insurance or debt cancellation charges, and unauthorized/fraudulent transactions shall not earn college savings. The college savings that you can earn are unlimited in amount.

Earn a $25 college savings bonus after you use your new Upromise credit card to make your first purchase, balance transfer, or cash advance transaction within 90 days of opening your account. If you make an eligible purchase transaction, you will also receive your regular 1% college savings earnings. Your one-time $25 college savings earnings will be reported as pending on your Upromise account by the 30th (thirtieth) day of the calendar month following the credit card statement containing the initial transaction and should be posted to your account within 90 of the pending contribution provided you are member within 90 days of opening your new account.
